About the Founder

Jack Phillips

Jack Phillips is the founder and CEO of Phillips Security Consulting (PSC), a Chicago-based firm that serves as an owner’s representative and consultant for physical security projects. PSC supports clients from planning through final sign-off, including RFP development, design intent, bid management, installation oversight, change order review, punch list management, and closeout.

PSC’s work includes video surveillance, access control, vehicle intrusion mitigation, mass alert notification systems, command center design, cyber capabilities, AI implementation, and training. The firm also provides risk assessments, intelligence analysis, background discovery, security program development, and emergency operations planning support.

Jack’s approach is hands-on and product-agnostic. He works with owners who want an advocate through the life of a project—and after it is complete. His clients include private residences, individuals, law firms, K-12 schools, condominium complexes, and stadiums. He also works with unusual projects based on what the client needs. Acting as an advisor on a variety of subjects. His approach is, “ask, if I can’t do it I’ll find someone who can”.

Before founding PSC, Jack served with U.S. Customs as a Counter Terrorism Response Team Senior Officer, Lead Counterterrorism Trainer, and Hazmat Coordinator at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. He began his federal service as a Customs Inspector and previously worked at Aon Corporation in Chicago. His background also includes international experience as a professional yachtsman, study abroad in the former Soviet Union, and time living overseas.
